About Us
A contractor built for African conditions.
AFURIKA Engineering was founded on a simple idea: that world-class engineering delivery should be available from a local contractor who understands local ground, local supply chains and local deadlines.
From our base in Centurion, Gauteng, we take on civil, structural and earthworks packages for private developers, industrial clients and public-sector programmes. We keep the disciplines that matter in-house — site management, plant, and quality control — so decisions get made on site instead of in a queue.
Every project we take on is measured the same way: was it safe, was it on programme, and would the client hand us the next one? That last question is the one we build around.

Safety before programme
No target justifies an unsafe method. Our supervisors carry the authority to stop work, and they use it. Everyone who arrives on site goes home from it.

Quality you can inspect
Work is checked against the drawing and the specification, not against the deadline. Where something needs redoing, we redo it before it's buried.

Straight answers
If the programme slips or a cost moves, you hear it from us first — with the recovery plan attached. No surprises at the monthly meeting.

Earthworks
Bulk Earthworks & Site Platform
Site clearance, bulk excavation and terracing to level a constrained industrial platform, including material classification, haulage and compaction to specified density.
Structural
Reinforced Concrete Structure
Foundations, columns, suspended slabs and retaining structures cast to engineer's detail, with formwork, rebar fixing and concrete testing managed in-house.
Roadworks
Access Roads & Stormwater
Layerworks, kerbing, surfacing and stormwater reticulation for an internal estate road network, including culverts, catchpits and outfall protection.
Bulk services
Water & Sewer Reticulation
Trenching, pipe laying, bedding and testing for potable water and sewer lines, with reinstatement and as-built survey handed over on completion.
Plant hire
Operated Plant Supply
Excavators, front-end loaders, TLBs, tippers and rollers supplied with qualified operators on wet-hire terms, backed by scheduled maintenance and standby cover.
Maintenance
Facility & Infrastructure Upgrades
Planned and reactive civil maintenance for operating facilities — hardstands, drainage, concrete repairs and structural remediation with minimal downtime.
